Officer Reports:
- President - Dave welcomed everyone to the meeting. He reported that Sharon Devin will now collect and distribute all mail from the P.O. Box #466. All correspondence should be sent to the P.O. Box. Dave also noted that he is the liaison to the Hereford Zone Community Association and was part of an ad hoc committee on north county traffic. The state has been responsive regarding the input given by the ad hoc committee; however, Baltimore County has not.
- Secretary - Treasurer-The January minutes and Treasurer's report were emailed and approved as written. Please let Kathy Wheatley/Jeanne Reynolds know if you are not getting the emails.
Old Business:
No old business was discussed.
Committee Reports
- Directory - Dave to meet with Rose to explore new ideas for the next Directory. The current edition will be distributed mid-year. Anyone with new ideas should contact Dave.
- Membership - The executive board met January 20th to clean-up membership listings, billings and email accounts. John reported there are three potential new members; he has applications, but no checks yet. John welcomes any names of businesses he should contact for membership. There were 19 new members last year, and John hopes to do as well this year.
- Web Master - Glenn reports the website is up to date. Please let Glenn know of any community events that should be placed on the calendar. Members are eligible to advertise on the website, free of charge, and the ad can be linked to a personal website. Glenn also plans to add a page to the website for changes in address, phone, email address, etc.
- Fall Fest - Jeff Squire, Al Copp and Mary Pitt to meet to brainstorm the Fall Fest to make it more "festive"! Al suggests that we need better food, better press coverage, and more activities. They will also meet with the HVFD. It was suggested that the Fest be held a bit earlier in the year when the weather may be warmer. Dave noted the date was set for this year, but the committee would look into it for the future.
- Golf Outing- the date for miniature golf tournament is Saturday, June 12 at the Hereford Golf Center. This is a fun, family event. Diane Fowler is heading up this committee. More details will be forthcoming.
- Welcome Book -one hundred copies of the book are ready for distribution. About 50 were handed out to volunteer delivery persons at the meeting. The next 50 will be brought to the March meeting. To complete the listing provided by Paulette, we will need to print 132 more. This will be completed over the next two months. The charge is $50 per advertiser for the year.
New Business:
Denise Herbert of Sign Post Sign Company is a new member, and we welcomed her at the February meeting.
