Officer Reports:

1. President - Welcomed everyone to the meeting.
2. Secretary - Dave Cavey printed April meeting minutes and made them available to everyone.
3. Treasurer - Balance as of April 30, 2004 is $9,112,61. Jeanne Reynolds distributed the Treasurer's report. Glenn made a motion to accept and Steve made a second to the motion.

Old Business:

1. Mini Golf - This event will be planned for mid-late July 2004. Glenn McCalley is heading up this event. He is in need of Hole sponsors. He will have more information at the June 10, 2004 Social Event to be held at Woodhall Wine Cellars.
2. Budget - Committees have been requested to submit a budget by June 1, 2004.
3. June Social Event - Al Copp proposed a budget of $600.00 to cover attendance of 60 people. Grauls Market will provide Vegetable Trays and Desserts, Food by Fire will provide Pit Beef, Pit Ham and Salad, Woodhall Wine Cellars is providing Wine (of course), and Al will have soda and water. This event is FREE to all members and their guests. The event is Thursday, June 10, 2004 5:30 pm - 7:30 at Woodhall Wine Cellars on York Road. Please bring a guest. Jim DeLuca will mail invitations to members. He will work with Glenn and Rose for address lists.
4. Follow Up Discussion about Energy Deregulation - Steve Kinsey reminded everyone to visit www.bge.com website to make their choice of future energy supply. The deadline according to the site is July 1, 2004
5. Follow Up Discussion about www.herefordneighbors.com - Jim Deluca gave a short report.

Committee Reports

1. Directory - The drop-dead date for submitting your ad along with $100 is May 15, 2004. Rose is working with printers. HZBA voted on a tri-fold style brochure. The color will be based on the responses that Rose gets from the sheet everyone previewed to check that their information was correct. She will have the proof reading for final review at the June 10, 2004 Social Event. So far there are about 18 ads. Distribution is set for July 2004. HZBA also decided on heavier weight paper.
2. Membership - No report.
3. Web Master - No report.
4. Welcome Book - Al Copp has not distributed any books. Contact him after this meeting or sometime later if you can help with distribution.
5. Fall Fest - Mary continues to work with HVFD for this annual event.

Guest Speaker:
Melissa Brown MGH Advertising (introduced by Jeff Squire) - Melissa is working with Heather at Patuxent Publishing to put together an 8-10 page insert for Hereford Volunteer Fire Department's Fire Safety Publication. This publication is scheduled to be in the North County News on September 9, 2004. Heather reviewed her handouts and explained that the Advertising prices for ¼, ½ and full-page ads are deeply discounted. Contact Heather if you would like to place an ad. Al and Dennis made a motion for HZBA to run a full-page ad in this publication. Henry made a second to the motion. Everyone voted in favor. Mary Pitt will work with Heather to create an ad for HZBA.
