Meeting Minutes
February 12, 2004

Dave Cavey called the HZBA meeting to order on February 12, 2004 at 12 pm.

Prior Meeting Minutes:
January 2004 meeting minutes were accepted.

Old business:

New Business:
1. Participation - Dave Cavey made a request for greater participation on the Committees.
2. Food Bank - Dave Cavey reported that HZBA received a Thank You letter from Joan Laufer from the Food Bank. Rose said that the March Food Bank item is potatoes.

Officer Reports:
1. President - Welcomed everyone to the meeting and read the HZBA Mission Statement.
2. Secretary - Reported that the minutes were e-mailed in the normal fashion and asked if there were any corrections. There were no corrections to be made.
3. Treasurer - Jeanne Reynolds reported that HZBA ended January 31, 2004 with $5,621.39 in the checking account. A copy was forwarded to Glenn McCalley.

Committee Reports:
1. Directory - Rose reviewed the Directory that will be published in the North County News. Members receive a one line listing along with their membership. A business card size ad may be purchased for $100. The deadline is April 15. Heather Wirth made a motion to increase the price for advertising to $100 from the current $90. Jeanne Reynolds made a second to the motion.
2. Membership - John Mays reported that HZBA has five new members: Hagan Financial Services; Dr. Gordon Zorn; Pulse Health & Fitness; Michael's Pizza; Maryland Feed Company
3. Web Master - Nothing to report.
4. Welcome Book - Al Copp reported that the deadline for the first submittal is February 13, 2004. The Welcome Book should be distributed in early March. Paulette gave the new homeowner listing to Al. Wheatley Associates will be coordinating the production effort for the book. Al Copp made a motion to increase the price for one page advertising to $50 from the current $30. John Mays made a second to motion.

Guest Speaker: None at this meeting

Next Meeting: The next meeting was set for Thursday, March 11 at HVFD from 12 pm to 1 pm. THIS IS A NEW TIME. FEEL FREE TO BRING A BROWN BAG LUNCH.
